Why?????
King Mugabe has conveyed parliament. Now, BBC is reporting that two MDC members of the assembly were arrested by Police inside the parliament building. King Mugabe has shown to have no regard for anything. All the "happy talk" that Thabo Mbeki fed us has been nothing but a pack of lies and nonsense that has led us to here. ZANU-PF will hold on to power at all cost. King Mugabe has said only death will remove him. Now, despite his grandfatherly stance on the future, right now all bets are off. Mbeki has once again failed. Despite his economic record (which is in large thanks to Trevor Manuel, his Finance Minister), he was rejected soundly by his party, the ANC. I can see why. \
While the powerful fight, the ordinary Zimbabwean will continue struggling to buy bread and maze to survive. As for the rest of the world, nothing will happen despite all the tough talk from the U.S. and the U.K. The only forceful advocate for change, the President of Zambia, died in Paris. Maybe Bostwana's forceful advocacy might finally cause SADC to wake up and realize the realities. I doubt it, though.....
