Zimbabwe: Can there be a deal? (An Update)
:
South Africa Must Turn The Screws....
Al Jazeera is right now SADC has recommended a joint management of the Home Affairs Ministry. I am right now hearing that the MDC Leader has not agreed to co-manage the Home Affairs Ministry. Mutumbura, the other actor in this drama, has agreed. I am not surprised. I am now convicned that Mutunmbura is an opportunist. ZANU has taken all the powerful ministries, has stuck to its' position and now it has won. it is simply ridiculous!!! Why are the SADC leaders so afraid of the butcher? The people of Zimbabwe are hungry, there is rampant inflation, and unemployment is eating away at the fabric of society. Yet, they can't move this stupid fool. The notion of change should be accepted by EVERYONE!!!!! Why is the butcher not listening?
If I were there, I would give the MDC Leader a high five. There are those of us around the world who are with the people of Zimbabwe and support the MDC. Although I have been hopeful and optimistic before, my hope was again dashed. SADC wants the leaders to implement. How in the name of common sense can this be done? But, what about the actual details? Once again, the SADC leaders came out of this process as spineless fools. Africa deserves more than this.
