The Kennedys: An Inspiration to us all

What a committment.....
Today's MSNBC featured Caroline Kennedy, President Kennedy's daughter. She helped with the process that ultimately led to the selection of Joe Biden as the Democratic Nominee for Vice President. She is the example of what dedication and committment to public service is about. As I listened to her, I was simply in awe!!!
As I thought about her interview today, I have continued to wonder how she has endured despite it all. What she has gone through would have destroyed any person. It is a testament to America and to the Kennedy Family that such wonderful and dedicated individuals continue to care so much about this country and are able to render such service. I have continued to follow the careers of RFK's children and what they have done through the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation. There is of course Senator Edward Kennedy. Whatever one may think of Senator Kennedy, he is one of the giants of our time. He has been the object of scorn by many. But, his accomplishments will survive well past him.
The Kennedy family believes in the nobility of public service. They continue to live it every day. Everyone has a right to disagree with their politics. That's the essence of America. But, the Kennedy family has shown us the way. It is up to us to have the courage and the fortitude to step up. I salute Caroline Kennedy and the entire Kennedy Family. They represent America at her very best.
