The Freak Show in California: Will it End?

: OMG!!!

The freak show in California continues. Right now, there is no budget. The Governor is saying that he would begin an additional day of furloughs if no budget is passed. The dysfunctional state government is absolutely mind boggling. As a local Mayor commented, the folks in Sacramento, the State Capitol, seem to be in a different planet.

While schools have been cut, healthcare benefits has been slashed and workers have been subject to furloughs, the State has actually hired folks and created new programs. One program I found out employs some 200 people to provide guidance on where to get the best Auto Repair Specialist in the State. Such examples are paramount. Because they want to "balance" the budget, they have to find the money somewhere. So, they will start raiding the cities. They will stop sending monies due the cities. Basically, it is borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. It is shocking at how the folks in the State Capitol forget who sent them there and what they ought to do.

As this struggle goes on, the people on "MAIN STREET" will be the only real losers. It is the biggest traged of them all!!!

Interesting. Perhaps this is one of the reasons I left California, even before all this appeared the state and city governments were raping the people to pay for unneeded, unnecessary, and wasteful programs. With one of the highest state income rates in the country I can not understand how this state can go broke. Wait, yes I can, the same way the Federal Government is doing it, spending too much on the unneeded, unwanted and the wasteful.
