Stoning to Death....

A number of sex-related crimes are punishable by stoning to death in Iran. According to a BBC report, nine people have been sentenced to stoning for adultery, incest and prostitution. Iran seems to truly be out of step with the world. The Iranian Government needs to decide if it wants to truly be in the 21st Century or not. The economic plight of Iranians which leads them to such acts is a fact. There was a case of a University Administrator that was caught on video after he made advances to a female student for a grade. The Government needs to focus on more fundamental issues and not deal with tangential matters that will not improve the lives of ordinary Iranians who are struggling with high unemployment, high inflation and an increasingly hostile world.
