Senator Obama's June Numbers (Cont'd)
As I thought further about Barack Obama's June Numbers, I could not help but wonder whether the fact that over 50% of his contributions are indeed coming from corporate donors will make a difference in his evolving views on policies. He has worked to evolve and move to the center. It is something that I have applauded because I want someone who is a practical thinker and not tied into an ideologically rigid position that will serve no one. President Bush, in his final year in office, seems to have finally moved somewhat in that direction. I remain hopeful that Senator Obama will insure that he lives up to his promise to give voice to the voiceless and insure that this crisis of confidence on all sides will turn into an opportunity. I continue to believe that the best days of America are ahead of it. Whomever wins the Presidency, I trust that he will do whatever he can to focus on solving the challenges and leading the country in that quest.
