Russia: What a sad state of affairs?

Russia has broken the back of Georgia. It has also continued its' process of a idiotic concept it has coined called "managed democracy." Al Jazeera has just reported that another prominent Russian journalist, Yevloyev, has been shot while in police custody. He has been a prominent Kremlin critque of Russian policy. Russia is run by the same gang whom President Bush said that could be trusted. The gangster running Chechnya, Kadyrov, is one of them. As I see Russia, I am reminded of the American Wild West. There seems to be no stopping them, right now.
What is the solution? it is to pull the rug from under them by stopping the reliance on the means that sustains them: Oil & Gas. If Russia does not have the oil income, it has nothing. It will need to figure out how to behave like a responsible member of the international community. The challenge for us is to have the will to do so.
