Russia (Cont'd).....
:
Russia ain't going away folks...live with it....
The Russians are continuing to do their thing. According to reports I have seen, they are still in Georgia moving around with impunity. Medvedev signed the seize fire document drawn up by the French. Yet, it is just a piece of paper only. Beyond that, there is the matter of the agreement Poland and the U.S. signed on the hosting of the missile defense shield. Colonel General Anatoly Ngovistyn, the deputy chief of staff of the Russian Armed Forces, basically put Poland on notice that it might expose itself to attack. This will trigger a NATO response, since Poland is part of NATO and is not Georgia. This threat should be taken seriously. On top of what is continuing on in Georgia, the United States is going to be hamstrung in its' response. This conflict in Georgia was mentioned in the Saddleback Civil Forum as an example of the challenges the United States faces. Senator McCain said that he would know how to response. I am still trying to figure out what that response would entail.
