Palin's Trouble Back Home
:
Sign of things to come
CNN has just reported that Governor Palin has hired a lawyer to defend her and her staff in the on-going investigation regarding the firing of the Alaska Public Safety Commisioner. I regard this as quite serious. She has to have the presumption of innocence. But, I don't think it looks good to be under investigation while running for the second highest office of the United States. To me, she ought to have everything out there and out there now. All the scandals over the past 15 years should have taught a seasoned operator like Steve Schmitt this very fact.

It's not like she can handle this in the same way now that she'll be traveling all over the lower 48-and maybe 49 states. Even if she came from Illinois, Mass., Ohio, Delaware or Colorado -- hiring a lawyer doesn't necessarily mean there's some fly in her ointment any more than a house can be thought to be a dud just because the person selling it decides to let a pro handle the work instead of doing himself.
