It is a private matter? Or is it?
Sarah Palin's 17-year old daughter is pregnant with her first child. I think the family's right to privacy must be respected. I hope that for the sake of the Palin family, this is the first and last of the discussions. The relentless scrutiny that those in public life are subjected to is something that truly prevents folks from getting into public service. Why would anyone want to do it? The focus should be on vision and the future. I trust that the mainstream media will do what it needs to do. I wonder though......
Just as there are backhanded (cheapshot) "compliments," there are "backhanded questions." Obama, to his credit, said Palin's daughter is OFF LIMITS and he even pointed to his own birth from a teenage mother.
