Iran's Security Services have been quite busy. I just saw a report that Iran's Cyber Security folks had supposedly hacked 29 Websites that they suspected of counter-revolutionary activity. Supposedly, they distributed 70 Million worth of Anti-Filtering Software throughout Iran. Furthermore, Iran's Judiciary just announced that it has affirmed the faith of 86 people accused during the recent disturbances.
The Cyber Security Folks are a group that are affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards. They are detemrined to perpetuate the regime at all costs. As for the Judiciary, it is pretty much non-existent for all intent and purpose. That same judicary branch has affirmed the sentence of 86 people. To top it all, the leading reformist Party has been banned from holding political activities. This is the party that finds amongst its members the brother of the Former President, Mohammad Khatami.
As The Iranian New Year arrives, I have to wonder what message does that represent as the New Year arrives? It seems that the New Year should bring people together and begin anew. It appears that the Government just wishes to perpetuate the reign of terror in the name of National Security.
