Am I too naive???
I continue to be amazed at the Sarah Palin phenomenon. I did a Google Search and it came back with 419,000 Hits!!!! Here is a one of the 419,000 hits....and I found it quite funny::
Because there is no so much information, I am not prepared to decide on Sarah Palin yet. I would be writing on my reflections on the Republican Convention just as I did on the Democratic Convention. The debate has been quite passionate and I have truly enjoyed what I have read so far. Why would anyone want to subject themselves to this much scrutiny is something that is just as amazing to me.
Whatever one's political beliefs are, everyone does agree on one thing: We are truly living through history and change. I have found the campaign quite exciting so far. If anyone is going to think Senator McCain is not going to fight to the very end, they're mistaken. Just as I don't think Senator Obama is going to give an inch on all the issues he outlined in his magnificent speech on Thursday. It will be ever more so after September 4, when the Republicans formalize the McCain-Palin ticket. Governor Palin's story is also very much a uniquely compelling and personal American story. As we celebrate the ascendancy of Senator Obama, we should also celebrate the ascendancy of Governor Palin because it represents a certain degree of maturity in our increasingly diverse nation. Elections are a chance to debate the visions that those who aspire to be our leaders have. What I am afraid of is that it will degenerate itself into a character assassination whereby no one will win. For the sake of American Democracy, I pray that I am wrong.
