John McCain & Barack Obama On the Airwaves....
John McCain was on CNN this morning reminding all about Senator Obama's Judgement. Senator Obama was the featured guest on NBC's Meet the Press talking about his trip and what he had seen. I was quite pleased when Tom Brokaw went after Senator Obama on the focus on Israel and the perception in the Arab World that U.S. Politicians just try to placate the Jewish Lobby in the United States. King Abdullah of Jordan, in a recent Washington Post Interview, also made sure the world was aware that the major challenge the Middle East has is a stark choice: either what he called "Fortress Israel" or an Israel that is fully intergrated into the Greater Middle East. The superficial wars is masking the major problems the region is going to be faced with over the next number of years. Although I ended up turning off the broacasts to report and comment on, I yearn for the substantive discussions that the people deserve. But, the people and the folks who seem to act in their name seem to at times forget that.
