It's now Official: It is Biden!!!!
:
Hell of a Choice....
Well, the word is out. Everybody is talking about it....Barack Obama has chosen Senator Biden as his running mate. When Biden said, "...I am not the guy..." I sure was fooled!!!
This decision and the way the process was run shows the discipline that the Obama Campaign has run its' affairs. Although I was hoping to be one of the "privileged" to have received the text message first, I am still happy. In Senator Biden, Senator Obama gets someone who understands the world, is experienced and will be a tough and effective advocate for the Democratic Party. This is a very strong and reasoned choice. I am just afraid that this may be a repeat of 1988. Remember Dukakis-Bensten? I am old enough to remember that election. But, Obama is no Dukakis. He is a lot more disciplined, has a greater sense of history and understands what not to do. In Senator Biden, he gets a seasoned pro who knows and understands what needs to be done. He was right on Putin, he was right on Iraq, he was right on Bork. So what that he chose a passage from Neil Kinnock? Despite being in the Senate for 35 years, he never bought a home in DC. He has been a fighter. This combination will be tough to beat.
