Iraq's Bombing
Iraq seems to be on the brink. The "happy talk" we heard that everything is great was shattered when the bombings occured over the last day or so. The scenes were horrible in my view. Despite the precarious gains, I think the country continues to be on the brink. We might as well just simply admit that Iraq is forever broken and work to divy up the country. There is only one slight problem with that: Iran, Syria and Turkey will not sit idly by. The Kurds in the north of the country are pretty much doing whatever they want. I realized that Iraq was forever broken when I saw the images of Kurdistan Airlines two years ago when a plane from the airline at Beirut International Airport. This image is also striking. How will Iraq be put back together?
