Iraq......and the Issue of Judgement
This morning, Juan cole (http://www.juancole.com) is reporting on Ahmad Chalabi being in Tehran meeting with Iranian leaders. Remember him? He's the same guy who was touted by the neo-con's in the United States as the next George Washington that got us to believe the danger that Iraq was in fact not the case. Interestingly enough, Senator McCain was the one that pushed the Adminstration to pay this fraud and support this charlatan. The fact continues to remain that U.S. servicemen keep dying, the Iraqi people continue to suffer and have no hope. Reports indicate that the surge seems to be working. U.S. troops are to be commended. I also am very happy for the Iraqi people, because they deserve a lot beter than the suffering they've had. The violence does continue because things got so bad--there was no room to go but up.
