Code Pink, the Women's Peace Movement, went out to Gary Ackerman's House. For those readers who do not know who Gary Ackerman is, he is a U.S. Congressman from the State of New York. He is sponsoring this resolution to set forth a naval blockade of Iran. Frankly, he won't get anywhere. The problem is that I believe he holds a senior position on the U.S. House International Relations Committee. I am surprised that a Democrat does this. Every single U.S. Politican should have learnt from the fiasco that is Iraq and the emerging fiasco that is Afghansitan. These wars simply do not help address the real issues in the Middle East. Just as an example Israel has a water problem. There is not much discussions about it in the U.S. Mainstream Media. CNN, though, had almost the entire hour of Larry King Live discussing the idiotic New Yorker Cartoon. The discussion then continued with AC360 with Anderson Cooper. What are they thinking?
Thankfully, there are organizations like Code Pink that at least hold political leaders who seem not to think to account.
