As Obama Began His Second 100 Days....
:
What now?
The President's second 100 days began with a bang. He announced the Chrysler deal whereby Chrysler declared bankrupcy so that it can emerge as a majority-owned employee company with the Italian carmaker Fiat. I welcome the move because I view the failure of Chrysler just as catasphoric as the failure of Lehman Brothers that all have said was the catalyst behind the Economic Winter we have been fighting since September 2008.
As I have assessed the latest Chrysler moves, I caught this interview Ralph Nader gave to DemocracyNow. The conservative community has constantly derided President Obama for moving the country in a socialist direction. Yet, the so-called left is not that happy with President Obama also. Ralph Nader's interview with Democracy Now's Amy Goodman clearly shows that the left is not keen on him. I am certain that he relishes getting it from both sides.
I nearly fell off my chair when I saw this in this week's Economist. As I saw this, I did wonder why would anyone want this job. May we live in interesting times indeed!!!
