OV Newflash (3/8/2010): An Apparent Change in US Policy On Interent Access
:
About time!!!
There is a change in US policy on sanctions against Iran and Cuba. Microsoft, Yahoo and Google will receive an exemption to begin offering Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Hotmail so that folks in those country are able to take advantage of it. Such services were not available due to sanctions imposed by the United States. This is great news because it provides further flexiblity for folks to circumvent the policies of repressive Governments. I wonder what could have been if this restriction was lifted back in June 2009. I suppose it is better late than never.
