Afghanistan Today....

Afghanistan is up in flames.....Right now, Al Jazeera is reporting on a commander named Akbari in Herat who seems to be enjoying wide spread support. As the trash talk over Senator Obama and Senator McCain's ads continue, Afghanistan continues to sink even deeper into a situation where it cannot truly recover. Pouring more troops simply won't cut it.

On a side note, DemocracyNow had an interview with Al Jazeera's U.S. Correspondence Avi Lewis. They were trying to book a Congressional Candidate. The Al Jazeera producer offered to send out a car to pick the guy up. The candidate gets a hold of the FBI, claiming Al Jazeera was trying to kidnap him. The kicker was that the guy was a retired U.S. Army Colonel. I just laughed when I heard it..and I listen to Avi Lewis..his reporting is right on!!!
